With more funding, we will continue to assist low income pet families with: basic vet care, shelter fees, pet-food donations, microchipping, all encouraging pet retention. All of these volunteer-based community efforts are to reduce the number of unwanted pets in our valley, overcrowding, and euthanasia rates in our local shelters.

CARE FOR AT-RISK ANIMALS
Animals in need, such as neonatal kittens, puppies, seniors, and those with medical issues, urgently require medical attention or around the clock care. We are dedicated to preventing euthanasia for animals that need more care than what the shelter can provide. By connecting these at-risk animals with trusted rescues, transporters, and foster homes, we strive to ensure they receive the essential care they need, rather than facing euthanasia.

HELPING HOMELESS COMPANIONS
For people experiencing homelessness, pets often symbolize their most significant bond. They frequently prioritize their pets' needs, sometimes feeding them before themselves, but they struggle to access resources for veterinary care and adequate food. Our mission is to ensure that those who care for their pets in this way have access to food, veterinary services, and essential supplies.

EMERGENCY VET CARE
London was found living beneath a car, malnourished and struggling to eat due to an object stuck in her jaw. We rescued her just in time, but this has brought about significant veterinary expenses. Our mission is to positively impact the lives of animals like London. We cannot turn our backs on the most vulnerable in critical situations, even if it means incurring considerable costs.

KITTEN CARE KITS
During the busy kitten season, shelters and rescues become inundated, making it challenging to handle the surge of kittens being found or surrendered. We offer emergency care kits to individuals who come across kittens, encouraging them to foster until a suitable rescue can be found. Often, it just takes a bit of time to connect with the right rescue while the kittens receive care. Additionally, we provide education and guidance on fostering and kitten care.

HELPING HANDS
Our mission is to support pet retention by providing help to families who may be challenged by the costs of veterinary care or essential supplies. In some cases, it's just a matter of a few days until payday, in others it's situations like Scar's, who escaped and was injured nearby. The owner was confronted with a significant vet bill that she couldn't manage, putting her cherished pet's life in jeopardy and forcing her to consider the heartbreaking option of euthanasia due to the inability to afford the necessary surgery.

COMMUNITY EDUCATION
We're dedicated to keeping the conversation going about spaying, neutering, microchipping, responsible TNR, fostering, and general pet care. We understand how crucial education is and enjoy sharing our insights with anyone willing to learn. We actively participate in community discussions to support animal welfare, like managing a lost and found page and hosting foster workshops or personalized training for Bottle babies—doing our part to make a positive impact. By raising awareness, we can assist even more animals in need!
